I would do ANYTHING to keep Bruno here.And I'm NOT letting YOU ALL GET IN MY WAY!!” HE'S seeing what a good thing Bruno is to us, and HE cares deeply about not letting a good thing go. “You,” Bosley uttered, “Yer workin' with.This Chancellor guy?”Ĭarl was silent for a minute, before responding with a smirk, “Yeah, I am. “You're not thinking straight! You forgot what a fantastic opportunity we have here!”īilly was growing impatient of trying to get everyone to leave, so he blurted out, “Yeah well, you should think twice before working with the Chancellor! HE'S the one who kidnapped Caulson and my dad!”Įveryone else stared at Carl in disbelief. He says that Bruno's folks need him, and we're gonna let him help them!” “Carl!” Bosley shouted, pushing past the others to confront his partner. “THAT mouse is trying to take away our rising star! And wouldn't you know it, he convinced you to do JUST THAT! THAT'S where you all are going! To take our star far away from here, and to squander our big chance!” “Didn't ANY of you hear the announcement?” Carl said, looking angry. Jacob just stood helplessly as Carl walked over to them. What's it matter to you?”īilly was gesturing to Red and Bosley to get out of there. “But nothin' to lose your hair over, take it from me. “Yeah, they ARE a mouse and a bird,” Red stated. But it was too late they had already been spotted. The group stopped in their tracks, while Jacob and Billy moved to the other shoulder as quickly as they could to try and remain out of sight. “Is that a mouse and a bird you got there? Hiding behind you?”

Jacob and Billy thought they were free and clear once they got past him. “Some friends of mine are in trouble, and we have to help them!”Ĭarl looked skeptical as the group passed them by. “Sorry Carl,” Bosley said, “But Bruno's got somethin' important to take care of.”Ĭarl's face turned confused. Billy seemed to recognize him as well, and they both hid behind Bruno's neck, in case he really was who they thought he was. He now had a strong feeling that this fox was the one who had captured Caulson and the others and was working with the Chancellor.
Jacob recognized the voice immediately, from inside Bruno's trailer. Just then, Carl emerged out of a meeting room, with the group coming his way. This is a film work checking out.Down the hall Bruno, Jacob, Billy, Bosley and Red all went, on the way to their rescue. It still has some dark scenes that is a trademark of any Don Bluth film, the characters are memorable, and the music is good, as the country music songs are actual country music instead of the stuff we have today that masquerades as country music.

But despite those changes, the movie is still good. The result was a different movie that strayed far from what Don originally planned, and to me, that could be one of the reasons that caused it to bomb. Also, a lot of scenes were cut or edited for being "too scary for kids", either because of notes for test audiences or done to avoid a PG rating (the test audiences notes being mostly because Don decided to take their advice after All Dogs Go To Heaven was negatively received for its dark content). Originally, there was not going to be any live-action segments, but MGM saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, a successful film that combined live-action and animation, and decided they want a piece of the money pie it was making. Now, the movie is seen as a box office bomb, and one of the reasons why is executive meddling. Telling the story of a boy named Edmond, a boy turned into a kitten by the Duke of Owls, he has to help the other farm animals bring back Chanticleer, whom they laughed out, as their farm is in danger of flooding. Rock-A-Doodle is a movie that some say is the start of Don Bluth's streak of bad films until Anastasia was released, but to me, it sounds like an underrated gem.
